Reveille Lyrics

I recently found the non-live version of Reveille on the Moz forums. I've loved it since acquiring the live versions from here. I just can't figure out the first two lines of the song... and a few others lol. If anyone else knows, please post!

It is somewhat ill-conceived
That we can be so fat and still not get our meat/meet(?)
