RAD! I'm in!
I hope to be there, too, as I'm leaving for a 4-day convention the next day!
ky---just got back from a writer's con---the show was not only very good, but very well attended. She actually broke a few keys during one song and had to bring out another keyboard! Straight-forward, kick ass KY---she's also singing HALFWAY ACROSS THE ATLANTIC to a pre-recorded track now---it's always nice to watch her flow around as she sings. I forgot my freaking camera and only took this pic of the marquee on my cell!!!

So glad to hear it, Nick. Does my heart good to see the pic as well.
I can't help it, everytime someone mentions KY breaking the piano keys I think of this clip.
The only thing in common, of course is the caress and smack of it all. I would never compare physical comedic silliness of Harpo to the genius superability of KY in any other trait or circumstance. I take that back, they are both virtuosos of wittidom.
lol ky! I also got to meet fellow KY fan EvelynChrist.
On a sidenote, Amy, I just saw part of that Marx brothers movie from the clip you posted up there, and it was soo funnnny!! I loved it.
P.S. that piece of music is amazing! Elliott Smith played some, too.
You guys think KY ever plays any classical pieces?
I've been checking this board for a while, too, and thought it was abandoned!
Chrissy---no idea---maybe to warm up?
Or maybe some Czerny? Scales...........I bet so. And on a baby grand, while chewing gum.
Cute visual, huh?
I like this Elliot Smith vid. ~ I used to play the piano, the Suzuki method... if that rings a bell with anyone. I wanted to play Chopin so bad but all the books were of Beethoven, Bach and Mozart. Not that that's not satiating, I just always wanted to stick to the black keys.
I would play Fur Elise with my own little girl Ragtime arrangment and my parakeet would go nuts.
I've been waiting to see this place come alive again, too. I just never like the "HEY... so uh... let's start a conversation" bit. But I'm glad someone did!
By the way... here's 'Comfort id Never a Goal' from the June radio session in higher quality. It's on some promo cd with in studio performances fromthe radio station.
