NY show mentioned in Onion?

Did anyone else catch this?  I'm guessing it's a mistake since I saw no mention of this show anywhere else, not even on Santo's Party House website calendar.  But anyway the Onion gives her a somewhat mixed review:

I swear I've read that last part somewhere else.

This is a partial cut-and-paste of a preview blurb from the Austin Decider, last year; it has a lot of the same wording, though this one omits what I recall was the stabby description "industry darling" in favor of a first-sentence dig at the band name (nice proofreading, though; they left the explanatory phrase "eponymous group Kristeenyoung" in halfway down).

The whole thing is an appalling hackjob, really. I've never read an alternative-newsweekly show preview before that actively discouraged everyone in the city from coming to the show with a negative description of the singer's personality and personal history, followed by a brief condemnation of her band. Fuck that.

The Bambi Killers don't have the show on their MySpace either, and they're in Wales, right? What? Oh, hell, it's not like I could go either, I guess I don't have much invested in whether it happens or not.

:( I'm confused. I would risk life and limb to see them again.... maybe I'll drop by tomorrow night to see what's good at Santos'....

That review is lazy journalism; plain and simple, and way too predictable.

She just put up a blog on her MS saying there is no show the 16th.

Thanks for the heads-up!  First I saw it in the print version of the Onion.  Usually all the show listings are in tiny print but for Tuesday the 16th I saw Kristeenyoung in big letters and got excited.  Then I read their 'review' and felt a little less excited.  Like, why mention KY especially just to give her a back-handed compliment?  Ugh.
