I hope I don't crash the server.
The NY Times said that no one else except CaCa would even think to wear a bubble dress. Well, think again bitches.
Haha! The doll dress. I noticed I drew it wrong. Son of a bitch.
I went postal on the photo posting
I was looking at a photo of the Take Me Seriously dress today... and I'm of the opinion that that dress kicks Bubble Dress's ass. I LOVE the detail, the scallops/mermaid scales in the dress, the wings, and where in the Joann's Fabric's Hell does she find fabric like that????
Actually, I've got new found respect for the backstory of Bubble Dress though. The two dresses are both serious works of art.
For reeeeeal. If I ever made a movie I'd hire Kristeen to design the costumes AND write the music. (It would be the best movie ever, of course.)
This is a fantasy of mine as well. She can have complete creative control over those aspects of the film. In my fantasy I am a healthy collaborator. And rich.
I think Take Me Seriously has instantly captured my heart too, though. The last couple days here have been nice because they've involved going through various pix I haven't looked at in ages, so a lot of them have been in my mind as well, especially the bleeding-heart one.
Did you see the pix on Devil Girl's MySpace? Those are sweet. I wish she'd flickr 'em. I'd like to know how the letters were done.
LOVE those pictures...~ Favorite one is Kristeen on the floor on top of "Patrick"
Too funny
You can really see the back detail of that beautiful dress too
fyi: I got the ok from Krista (friend of D.G. who took some of the photos) to post a couple on bestofallthings page.

I wish there were more of these photos SOMEWHERE,..... there's gotta be more of these, right????
She could always just take more NOW though. Unless the dress has since popped; I can't bear the thought.
What pictures on Devil Girl's myspace?
You're so funny!!! She kicks Joann's Fabrics' ass. You ever see the 'sample' items in there? :( Gross.
Oh yes. Just kidding about Joann. I've just never seen fabric like that and wouldn't know the first thing about where to look for it.
Last time I went to a Joann's Fabrics was in Utah - I was standing in line and there were 3 or 4 polygamist wives in front of me. They were wearing prairie dresses and jeans underneath... their hair was the same - long, thick, braided, and they had a wall of bangs.
True story. I'm not judging - I'm just describing my experience.
I havent been to a Joann in about 5 years but I used to love it there. There was a really nice big one in the city area of where I used to live. I remember wanting this blue fur they had but I couldnt afford it :(
