I really love it. So good. I'm too sleepy to go in depth, but it's awesome.

I keep listening to That's How People Grow Up to hear Kristeens voice at the beginning. It's like I'm jonesing for another hit.

But other than that the album starts off with :

I'm doing very well
I can blackout the present and the past now
I know by now you think I should have straightened myself out
Thank you, drop dead.

and this just had me grinning from ear to ear

Is it out already? Hm... I was interested in Morrissey for a time, he's now kind of a novelty piece for me.

Interesting lyrics... ;)

It leaked.

Ah. For some reason, I can't imagine Moz fans downloading leaks... or people leaking Moz.

He does seem to occupy a place outside "leaking," doesn't he? Nonetheless, actually, his last three albums all have.

He does. To me, that is like leaking a Mozart album (not that I'm comparing Moz to Mozart hehe); it seems that it is able to be waited on.

Though, these days, there's nothing that isn't leaked. Like books... people should just go buy their own copies of Saló. Honestly, I'd rather kill a few morw trees to save the wold from full-on digitalization. Same with music. They created cd-ripping software for a reason... physical records (surprisingly cd's rather than vinyl) are also quickly becoming more and more obsolete. There's my cause for the day; save the physical (and I don't mean hard drives!).

I'm a big believer in BUYING music that is available. I actually still like owning a hard copy of music. God knows how hard it was for me to get a hard copy of Breasticles. But to know that a piece of music (new or old) is out there available to be heard before its on a physical shelf without attaining it for yourself is ungratifying and borderline denial. NOT supporting entertainment/ART is definitely worse. Therefore I can enjoy an album before it is released and actually decide if it is worth buying. And if it is then I have NO problem with buying a physical copy of an album (I still like the extra perks like album art and lyrics).

Oh for sure! I'm a compulsive collector so I pretty much have to have everything (or at least look it up on eBay and promise myself I'll get it...). If it's somehing like Breasticles, I'd buy a hard copy (which I plan to do, with Meet Miss Young... and X as well) and also get it on iTunes just to make sure they'd get royalties.

Sometimes I download things and keep the MP3's for years before actually bying it because, say the artist is dead, and therefore I'm not really in that much of a hurry to support the person trying to earn a few bucks from someone else's work as I would if the person is actually able to reap the benifits themselves; unless of course there's a fund erected in their name or something, but that's a different thing alltogether. Other times I download things that aren't avaliable anyware, but that, too, is different because I'm not trying to buy something I could download for free when nobody but the person probably mass producing a 'rare' item is getting any deserved profits (things such as demos and such).

So yeah... long story short I agree with you.

Nothing more physical about the data on a CD than the data on my Hard Disk!  Probably something more kickable about the cover art and stuff though.  I too buy CDs where possible.  I'm still finding it utterly impossible to get a Breasticles (hard- OR soft- version).

I must confess I have been known to download some music and not buy it.  Mostly it's when something is well marketed (making me want it...) but is utterly awful when you listen to it.  I don't like my money going out to encourage the spewing of prefabricated pop kids with push-up bras and pitch-corrected pre-recordings from the guts of big labels with huge PR departments, when there are actually good songsters in small niches that should be getting those millions.  I download things that take my interest, and when I like it, then I buy it.  I guess that makes me naughty.  *shrug*

I buy what I love. I steal what everything else. I'm a cheapskate, but it makes me happy buying the music of bands I adore.

SUPPORT YOUR ARTISTS! I just did by buying overly expensive nosebleed seats to see Morrissey for the second time. Buuuuut, I cant deny the man who brought the music of KRISTEENYOUNG and I together.... and he's pretty swell too.

And what I mean by "supporting artists" is: buy what you like from them. If what you downloaded was not worth buying, then don't share it. I don't mean to rant so I'll keep it short. During the GREAT DEPRESSION there was more government funding for art than there is in the here and now (WELCOME to 2009). And we wonder why GREAT artists and entertainers like KRISTEENYOUNG aren't well-known or even better recognized (you best recognize!...). I'm poor too. But my quality of life would be a lot POORER if the artists I LOVE weren't there to make it richer.

Breasticles can be bought on iTunes or Amazon. I bought it out of desperation and then found a physical copy on some German CD site I think (although I do remember for sure how the conversion rate stabbed my wallet).

Yeah I buy when I can, but I'm usually broke and jobless and there's no way I'd go without getting new music if it were available in any form, so I take what I can get.
