I'm heartbroken that there's no plans to come to the UK just yet, but hopeful that that will change.  I think my bank would shoot me if I borrowed more of their money for a trip to the US.  Buying everyone I know a copy of the album is going to be hard enough to make fly without throwing that on top too.

I was going to post it here if anyone missed it.
Just curious Scudmarx, where are you in the UK?

I flit between Essex (east of London) in the South East, where I live, and Bath in the South West, where I went to university, which is sort of a second home to me.

I don't think I use the word "flit" enough in my daily life. I like it.

So you would fly in and out of London then? How much are the flights usually?

Nah we're only a little island, it's about an hour's drive depending on traffic.  But I don't often have much business there.  I tend to think of flying from one place in England to another as something reserved for the Big City Business types who would pay £150+ (umm, I dunno, $250?  My exchange rate could be a couple decades out...) to attend a meeting and then fly back down in the afternoon.  Generalisations help the world go round doncha know... Foot in mouth

I just looked at my high-falootin Sony/American laptop keyboard to see where you found the # key (that pound symbol before the 150) and I am stumped. I see that you have a $ so why don't I have a #?

Anyway, I guess $250 sounds about the same to jaunt about here and there in the U.S... depending on the advanced notice, etc. Hopefully with fuel prices getting better, the airfare will adjust too.

One day it would be fun to do a KY Meetup somewhere... Chrissy and Vicki are all for it. I visualize all of us forming an impromptu KY mosh pit frenzy. Don't you?

:)

£150 is about $226.

Mixed Kids Unite and Fall Over, I mean Take Over

Well, let me see if I know where everyone is:
chrissy: Texas
Nick: NY
Ev: NY
Rachel: Oregon
Programme-X: Cali
Lucky D and Sybil V: Cali
Tamari: New Jersey ?
Amy (kyk): North Carolina
Chris in Indy: Indy
Chris in Kentucky: Kentucky
Vickibat: Alabama
Scudmarx: UK
Dissoved Boy: Greece
Chayane: ?
Username: ?
Wombat: ?
Who did I miss and now the fun part is picking a centralized-ish place that Kristeen is going to play at. Yikes.

Wow, we are all over, aren't we?

I would personally takea month out of my life and travel to every city and have a meetup all the time!

Somewhere in the Midwest would be "conveniently and logically, centrally located", like St. Louis maybe? They'd probably play there again. I'm thinking somewhere in the middle so you opposite coasters can make a half journey instead of a whole country journey.

I was thinking that on the way home today... duh, St. Louis would be perfect.

And I hope it's ok that I publicized everyone's freaking state. Another duh.

I have one more duh. Did everyone know KY and Stump's single was out on i-tunes? Someone bitch slap me.

Hahaha...no, only those of us who just idly type "Kristeen Young" into EVERYTHING knew that, I think. There's been no announcement.

I bought it the other day. Nice cover.

The effort to convince the powers that be that the band name actually is "KRISTEENYOUNG" has been somewhat successful, it seems (as the single is actually listed under "Kristeenyoung and Patrick Vaughn Stump") - but when you download it it turns into a "Kristeen Young" song. Damn.
