I love the banjo bits. This is really great song. She sounds toptoptop.

I have to listen a few more times to get the gist of the lyrics, though big chunks of them were clear enough. I love the voice she finds and the wailing feel of it.

interesting to see how the tone of the "middle america" songs have changed over time: sing like the mississippi > heartland soul > under a land-locked moon.

i suppose i should have pointed out that KY often prefaced "rock radio" with a little snippet of pink floyd's "mother" (from _the wall_). if i remember correctly, the july 2001 shows was the earliest performance of the song and the october gigs were the first time "mother" was added to the beginning.

Ah! I wondered what that was. Thanks for pointing that out as I don't really listen to Pink Floyd. It was a wonderful little opening.
