Does the idiosyncratic genius of KY ever leave ya scratchin' the old noggin?
Pondering yet still stumped? What's the reason? The defense mech kicks into
does it matter-who cares mode... But the nagging feeling won't subside...
So one does what one would do in this interwebbing age: post on a/the forum...
Dear fellow fan, what thinks you? Are you seeing something I'm not? What goes
Thru your mind when... Anyway, Why, KY? For example: For me, one thing that makes me wonder is the white nail polish. It's a consistency; surely it has to be something "more" than a love for white enamel. Or is it? Think you have an answer(even an observation).?! Maybe a question of your own...

To make sure her fingers are really there.

I don't know, but I love it. Maybe to match the white eyeliner. Maybe it was big in the 60's or something? I want to know how on earth she does her hair. And what her closet looks like.

Ditto for the toes?! Gosh forbid one actually lose track of their feet; 'specially the big toe. I actually heard that if that toe were removed,
a person would have to learn how to walk all over again. Let alone/so forget about struttin' your stuff in spikes...
White nail syndrome may also be called leukonychia(totalis), which can occur with arsenic(yummy, almonds) poisoning, heart disease, renal failure, pneumonia, or hypoalbuminemia.
I'm still thinkin'... got me. Those nails sure are purdy painted all white though.
Going back to toes, KY has what is known as Morton's toe... Ummm, maybe Greek foot sounds better; this is where the second toe is longer than the big guy(idealised form in Greek sculpture). This is RAD.(!)

OK. Maybe life needs a little mystery; weally, weally. But- the nail thing stems back from an idea for a possible post that never made it onto the old forum: KY references in the damnedest places. For example: http://www.brightestyoungthings.com/style/style-dilemma-nail-polish/
But I'll spare you- a member wrote:

i love what Kristeen Young is doing
white short nails with her pale white skin

almost makes me want to experiment with black
or the darkest of blood reds or midnight blues, with my olive complexion

with my schedule though, no more time to do my nails
only for special, special occasions
where someone might actually be paying attention

So- Why and how does KY have such pale skin?! Ya know, being a mixed kid and all... Magic?
Or albinism, except she dyes her brows and hair and sports some funky contacts. Okay, maybe that's stretchin' it a bit.

She has light skin but it has a yellow tint. Many people of mixed race heritage favour one race over the other. This is no genetic surprise.

I really haven't noticed anything rare or unusual about her light skin. I don't think it is extremely white or that out of the ordinary. I mean, obviously she wears theatrical makeup on stage, but her skin tone is not one I would consider to be albino by any means. By "mixed race" you are referring to her being half Apache, right? That doesn't mean people should expect to see a darker complexion. I happen to be half Spanish, but I happen to wear the lightest foundation makeup, there are really no hard and fast rules.

My mistake: forgot the semicolon followed closely by the parenthesis(the one that comes second, like the one about to appear... now), with or without a dash(I suppose it all depends on how one feels about noses). Yeah, in no way could one be mistaken; she didn't just fall off the honky truck last week. Yet- intriguingly unusual, strikingly different, and maybe even excitingly strange; nope, the ethnicity just isn't clear. Sooo twenty-first century.
papooseface, you do bring up, perhaps unintentionally, an intriguing point though. Your statement, that people of mixed race heritage favour one race over the other, can be taken in two ways. First off, due to genetical dominance, people will look one way or another. This of course is outta their control. But the second interpretation is that mixed background-like people may favor "one" over the "other" depending on their social environment; like playin' up one while pushin' down the other in order to fit in a bit more. Ya see, I've wondered, from time to time, how not only my life, but also my appearance(like, how I carried myself and wut-not) woulda been diffy iffy I'd have gone and lived wiff my ma instead of my da when I was just a wee one. Genes aside, peer group, let alone culture and nationality at large, must have a tremendous influence on our appearance.
For example, would growing up, say, on da rez(closest in OK?) as opposed to the Young homestead made a radically different looking KY...???
Alternate reality KY, please come forward and clear this up!
Next subject: earrings...
