Wireless show.
wonderful! a lot of exotic head gear.
thanks KYk!
meanwhile, its reported on the morrissey forum that KY wont be touring with morrissey, afterall.
more photos here:
Rickrack has never looked so good, wow! Fabulous!
I wonder if the band-aids on her knee ("knocks upon my knee?") are part of the costume. Has Morrissey just conditioned me to think band-aids are for decoration?
I'm so impressed with the construction of that dress...I hadn't realized it isn't built on a base, or at least is skillfully made to appear that way. I wonder if it was made or bought whole and then cut up/reinforced, or the puzzle pieces were made separately and sewn together.
Oh... well, that's ok. I'll take her anyway I can get her. With or without M.
I am laughing as I see the strategically dangling phallic puzzle piece from Rank's blog photos.
heehee, yes. Especially as there's also a strategic puzzle-piece gap showing a bit of cleavage at the top. "You like this? It comes with this!"
As for what's written on the crossword, I won't even ask, but...oh, curiosity.
does anyone know whether the white tape on her hand is practical or aesthetic?
or both?
she always pounds the keyboard, but maybe its just a fashion statement??
wondering....
KY short review and pix at this link (02 festival) :
A bit bonkers? Not in my book. Well, maybe a little bit. But isn't that what is charming and endearing about the people we adore.
I also heard that the hat was actually a paper airplane covered with fabric that read "There's always tomorrow, until there's not", and that the outfit was see thru and deco inspired...she had on a light blue cyber/futuristic type of "bikini" under it. The phrases on the outfit are lyrics from a song no one has heard yet. It's on the album, though.
I'm referring to the "review" of course. "A bit bonkers" is what the reviewer said. Honestly, I think that's ridiculous thing to say actually. Now that I think about it more. The "reviewer" is actually a photographer and not a journalist. She should just stick to taking pictures and get someone else to write about the bands. She doesn't say anything very articulate about anyone there that day. She called Morrissey's singing "whining".
The "bikini" looked like the one in the show flier of her legs (etc.), ya know?
Haha, it could have been worse. I liked her photos, though.

I was looking for pix from Edgefest on Flickr and found nothing yet, but I did find this gorgeous shot of KY displaying the DOMINE FIMUS skirt. (The caption is some sort of archetype I'm sure, and seems to come to us whole from an earlier age)
This dress is like an evolved form of the pink six-pack dress which I always assume KY is wearing unless contradicted (because I first saw her in it both on video and live). It's one step ahead of that dress on the evolution-of-man chart.
(like Madonna, KY has a midriff six-pack)
I wonder what happens to the out-of-rotation stagewear of extravagantly clothed bands? Do they fall by the wayside or do they just die? Do lucky people find them at resale stores? I expect they just sit in the closet.
People seriously need to stop relating her to Björk. I love Björk (and love KY more), but KY is no Björk... she's a piano-rocker. Gosh.
Nice pic, I love when her hair is down ;)
