This "bubble" dress always makes me think of a giant egg-encrusted ovary, of maybe a huge clutch of eggs belonging to some kind of mythic sea creature?!! Aphrodite comes to mind in some kind of distant association... Are those holly berries? Myrtle-leaf holly?

Could it possibly be the same mystery man featured in the photo that started this thread albeit now/then sporting porked-out burns and a dye-job?!

Probably!

It's Brian Ion, a bass player, yes....but a very different genetic code than bass player, Chris Sauer.

-papooseface, thanks for clearing that one up.
And after a little research:

ecto-digest V5 #292
Date: Mon, 30 Aug 1999 22:25:42 -0500
From: rjk1@cs.wustl.edu (Bob Kollmeyer)
Subject: Kristeen Young's new all boy band

With The Side Door (her usual haunt for homecoming gigs) under new
management and new booking (and yet to book a decent show) Kristeen
appeared for the first time at The Creepy Crawl to her typical crowd of
100-150 or so. And despite some annoying and nagging sound difficulties
(hey, it's normally a punk-flavored club - they don't see a whole lot
of keyboards ;) ), she put on a good though short set that included 3
new-since-Enemy songs:

Night Blindness
Take Me
For the Record
...Hi-Tek
Everything is Mine Because I am Poor
Killing Time
Incubator
Enemy
Year of the Woman
Marley's Ghost

As for the evening's fashion statement, it was a toned-down version of
the girl scout getup complete with Lays' potato chip bag on the hat
and Coca-Cola arm band.

But the real surprise of the evening also answered a question that had
me a bit concerned for the past month - why Galaxia (who, along with
Collaborateur, did a fantastic series of triple-bills with Kristeen before
she left) hadn't been playing out lately. The answer is that their bass
player, Brian Ion, also moved to the northeast to seek fame and fortune. ;)

So after more than 2 years without a bass player for the live shows, he
takes the place of Chris Sauer who left the band in July of '97 having
played with Kristeen dating clear back to her Nov. 9th days. Best
wishes to Brian, though I'm wondering what will become of Galaxia
without him. I won't have to wonder too long - the remaining members
(at least 2 of whom were in the audience Saturday night) will have
their first show next month.

So, for the record, what is "For the Record"??!
papooseface?

I read she graduated from Webster University in 1990. She must be 39????!!!! She is gorgeous no matter what age she is though.....

Someone put that on her wikipedia and it was incorrect. She was still in school when she was in the band, Nov.9th and that was 1992.

NNDB.com says she was born in '75. So, 33?

Wikipedia claims? that she got her BM - Bachelor of Music - from Webster University in 1990... but papooseface says that is incorrect. Everything else I've read says that she was born in 1975. But I also read an article (I'm looking for that article now to re-read it) written in 1997 that states she was 25 at the time the article was written, which would make her 35 now?? A lot of discrepancies out there, huh.

Kristeen is in her early to mid-thirties. Jef is an immortal being, born thousands of years before Christ in what is now eastern Russia. That's as specific as the publicly available info gets.
